2011 Aston Martin Cygnet In Bridgestone Eco-Rally

Aston Martin announced they will enter two Cygents in the fifth annual Bridgestone Eco-Rally. He confuses the fans of Aston even more!
 2011 Aston Martin Cygnet

The Cygent, I'm sure you know is a Toyota iQ below. Aston just put it in a fancy dress and sell it for three times the price. They say it's the ultimate city car. Just enough. But that's a green car that makes no sense.

I think you buy a greener car because you want to save money. So why on earth do you buy for 30 Cygent Great, then you can get exactly the same with a Toyota badge for 10 large. Of course, in terms of fuel consumption and CO2 emissions of Cygent not very good with 56.5 mpg and 116 g / km, t because of its tiny engine.

So to be really honest, coming into 2011 Eco-Rally Bridgestone is more of a marketing thing for Aston.

Next-Gen Aston Martin DBS will get 20 extra HP

2013 Aston Martin DB9

The new Aston Martin DBS will get 20 more horsepower and will also be lighter.

The next generation of the DB9 will result in a more powerful DBS version, according to the manufacturer. The 6.0 liter V12 engine will go thru significant changes which will add 20 more HP, combined to a lighter body.

Besides the extra power, the next generation of the DBS will also benefit from improved acceleration, braking, handling and, of course, fuel economy.

The engine’s weight will also be reduced to 10-15 percent, the ending result being about 400 pounds less, or around 180 kilograms.

The exterior styling will be slightly adjusted to match the One-77, which may become Aston Martin’s new flagship.

New, lighter, more powerful and with an exterior design ment to soften our eyes, that seems to be Aston’s main future plan.

2013 Aston Martin DB9

Spy shots of a prototype for the new-generation DB9 reveal a more rakish look for the car, as well as a completely revised interior. Expect the DBS to look even more aggressive and come with its own bodykit, exhaust note and alloy wheels.

Look out for the debut of the new Aston Martin DB9 towards the end of next year, with the DBS to follow in early 2013.

2013 Aston Martin DB9 Spy shots

These are the first shots of the 2013 Aston Martin DB9 super tourer. Caught in competitive testing with Ferrari's 599 and Mercedes-Benz's SLS AMG, it's clear Aston is taking the competition head-on.

While much of the car is obscured by camouflage, new lights like those found on the Rapide and Virage can be seen. The side profile gains a new line what appers to be more deeply recessed depressions in the door panel, slightly sharper creases over the rear fenders, and new side skirts to match the lower, more aggressive front spoiler and rear trunk lid lip. The rear end looks to be a bit wider and taller than the current DB9.

Up front, a mesh grille replaces the multi-bar unit found on the current DB9, though that may come down to the fact that this is a prototype and not yet fully prepped. Other minor details include relocated, mesh-grilled hood vents and side mirrors that stand farther away from the doors, mounted on thinner, more-aerodynamic stalks.

h2011 Aston Martin Rapide

The 2011 Aston Martin Rapide features a hand-built 6.0-liter V12 engine producing 470 horsepower with peak power being delivered at 6,000 rpm and 443 pound-feet of peak torque at 5,000 rpm. A specifically tuned six-speed Touchtronic 2 automatic transmission allows the driver to change gears automatically or manually via the steering column-mounted magnesium paddles.

As one can see, the production version is very similar to the concept car, but does swap out quad-air intakes for upper and lower grilles. The rear of the car has strong family ties to other Aston Martin models, and sports 'smoked' rear taillights.

Continuing its series of firsts and oddities for the brand, the Rapide is the first ever Aston Martin built outside of the United Kingdom, thanks to a partnership up with Magna Steyr. Given a strong interest in the Rapide, Aston Martin says it will build between 1,000 and 2,000 units per year, up from an original estimate of 500 or less.

Like Aston's other models, the Rapide is built on the company's VH (Vertical/Horizontal) architecture -- the same that underpins the DB9. The Rapide will also borrow its twelve-cylinder powerplant from the DBS, DB9 and Vantage models -- although power will be increased from 450 horsepower to 470.

Now we have Aston Martin’s official word that the bewitching Zagato V12will make it into production, in a strictly limited number. 2012 Aston Martin Lagonda Concept

2012 Aston Martin Lagonda Concept
The concept 2012 Aston Martin Lagonda crossover’s styling has been fettled somewhat by AML design pencil-in-chief Marek Reichman, and CAR understands that the 4×4 will be derived from the new Mercedes M-class out later in 2011.There will in fact be two different Lagonda crossovers – an emphatically sporty one with 21in wheels and a low-riding chassis, and an Audi Allroad-type vehicle that might attract the odd Range Rover customer.
2012 Aston Martin Lagonda Concept

The third potential offering? A luxury sedan not unlike the original 2012 Aston Martin Lagonda four-door from decades ago. CAR reports that, like Aston’s smaller Cygnet, the Lagonda sedan would combine traditional luxury amenities with “advanced packaging and a sophisticated drivetrain.”

2012 Aston Martin Lagonda Concept

No word on how long it will take Aston Martin to ready its Lagonda sub-brand, but since the company seems to be quite serious about launching this duo (or trio) of vehicles, we could see something crop up within the next few years.

Aston Martin Vantage S Roadster

Aston Martin Vantage S Roadster
Aston Martin has opened up its latest performance car. Arriving hot on the heels of the new V8 Vantage S coupé is this Roadster version.

It joins the hard-top as the most powerful version of the Vantage, and has a new seven-speed Sportshift transmission.

Wider sills, a deeper front splitter and enlarged cooling vents give the new car a more muscular stance. The tightly designed fabric hood is the same as that of the standard Roadster, and folds in less than 30 seconds. It can be operated on the move at speeds of up to 20mph.

With it down, you get to enjoy the Vantage’s V8 bark and delightful exhaust crackle even more – and this character makes the Aston instantly feel special.

Under the bonnet, the 4.7-litre unit is tuned to a potent 430bhp. It really comes into its own from 3,500rpm – where a revised air intake valve opens to deliver greater power – while maximum torque arrives at 5,000rpm.Aston Martin Vantage S Roadster
